The financially confident woman foregoes temptations to spend her money today and by doing so she manages to be good to herself tomorrow

In one of Jesus's parables in the New Testament Jesus likened spiritual faithfulness to being a responsible manager or steward of funds.

Good advice: Money is for managing first and spending second.

According to this devotion I read, two women exist; the financially foolish woman and the financially confident woman.

The financially foolish woman

· lives beyond her means
· confuses desires with needs
· loses sleep over unpaid debts
·  wonders where all the fun associated with having her own money has gone
The financially confident woman on the other hand
  • recognises God is the source of her money
· has a sound plan for her money
· knows she cannot afford to keep her money so she gives generously
· out of what is left she pays herself, saving aggressively
Then she is free to enjoy the rest of her money

The financially confident woman foregoes temptations to spend her money today and by doing so she manages to be good to herself tomorrow!
